Here I will mention just what we have been doing; more details will come in our future blogs.
Our goal with the new applications was to improve the user interface, making it more intuitive while at the same time keeping all the classical T&M equipment features and functionalities. Your feedback was -and will remain- our fundamental guideline for development. All of this new stuff was implemented without discarding the renowned benefits of Red Pitaya.
To compare the old Oscilloscope & Signal generator application with the new one is not really necessary. The difference is so large that any comparison will be redundant. Probably, after the first running of the new Scope application, I doubt that you will ever think about the old one again. Before you excitedly go to download the new application from our Web Store and try it out, let’s see a screenshot.
The new Oscilloscope & Signal Generator application looks like this:
As you can see the new interface is much more professional and it has a standard scope layout. On the top menu bar are Auto scale and Stop/Run controls. Below the top menu bar is the view of plotted data in respect to the buffer size. Of course on the center is the grid plotting area. Left on the grid window are trace markers for signal offsetting. Below the plotting area is information about V/div settings for each channel, trigger level, trigger delay, t/div settings and sampling rate. The joystick controls are for V/div and t/div manipulation. On the right side are the selection and setting menus for each channel, cursor menu and measurements.
In short, some of the new Oscilloscope & Signal generator features:
So, that’s that for this post, try our new applications, send us feedback and enjoy.
