Jupyter notebooks enables beginners to learn how to start programming STEMlab in 5 minutes and scientist or researchers to easily exploit the full potential of the STEMlab while fully keeping focus on application level. Jupyter notebooks is an open-source web application that combines live Python code, equations, visualizations, dashboards with real time graphs, dials, meters, sliders, buttons and explanatory text. Jupyter running on STEMlab also provides intuitive access to all features of STEMlab, therefore almost a single line of Python code enables user to:

- control on board LEDs
- digital I/Os
- slow analog I/Os
- acquisition of RF signals (125Msps/14bit)
- generation of RF signals (125Msps/14bit)
- communicate over digital interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI)

When STEMlab is used together with sensor extension module, user is also able to connect many
sensors and actuators that enables out of the box functionality for:
